UNICEF Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) is based in Geneva, Switzerland, and is responsible for managing UNICEF’s relationship with the National Committees for UNICEF. National Committees for UNICEF are independent nongovernmental organizations who act in their countries to advance child rights and wellbeing domestically, regionally, and globally through fundraising, advocacy, and other activities in support of UNICEF’s global mission and universal mandate for children. PFP’s Governance Team is tasked with developing nonprofit governance guidance and providing technical support to National Committees. The objective is to promote good governance practices through effective structures, policies and processes, thereby enhancing board effectiveness, ensuring clear accountabilities, fostering an ethical atmosphere, maintaining transparency, and upholding a robust control environment. The Policy-Writing Consultant (Anti-fraud, Cybersecurity and AML) will support updating and writing guidance documents specific to the technical nonprofit governance area of anti-fraud, and anti-money laundering, as part of the organization’s control environment, and conduct related research and consultations with stakeholders as needed.

The Market Development & Fundraising Innovation Team (MD/FIT), part of the Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) Division, is seeking a consultant to coordinate team communications and develop the community of practice—an essential aspect of the MD/FIT strategy. The role will focus particularly on supporting the Fundraising Innovation Program. The consultant will be responsible for strengthening the facilitation and implementation of support workstreams for UNICEF fundraising directors and fundraisers globally. This consultancy position will actively contribute to the achievement of the MD/FIT Program’s strategic objectives for 2025/2026 by maintaining engagement with the Market Development stakeholder network and advancing the Fundraising Innovation Community of Practice. Key responsibilities include coordinating and delivering regular communications, facilitating knowledge sharing initiatives, and supporting fundraising innovation processes and activities.

Since 1991, the Baby-friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) has helped to motivate facilities providing maternity and newborn services worldwide to better support breastfeeding. Based on the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding, the BFHI focuses on providing optimal clinical care for new mothers and their infants. There is substantial evidence that implementing the Ten Steps significantly improves breastfeeding rates.

Consultant (5 months, home-based): Analyst for child-focused ODA, Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) in Switzerland
PFP and PPD, in partnership with key National Committees, aim to support country-specific advocacy strategies for OECD DAC countries to prioritize children and child-related sectors in future ODA design and implementation. This analysis will provide individual country reports, that serve as inputs into each country’s ODA strategy, focusing on 8 key donor countries. It includes a comparative analysis of the current state of DAC aid vis-à-vis children's needs globally; identification of best practices and leadership models within the DAC; and key ways in which future ODA investments across DAC countries can prioritize child rights and child-related sectors to achieve the SDGs.
