The purpose of this consultancy is to develop a comprehensive and persuasive investment case for donors, built on evidence-based narratives, case studies, and human-interest stories that highlight UNICEF’s impact and leadership in improving WASH and nutrition practices in schools, strengthening primary health care at the community level, enhancing maternal and perinatal services at the secondary level, expanding access to quality health care in the Aral Sea region, and providing systems-level technical assistance to the Government of Uzbekistan in areas such as policy formulation, oversight, accountability, coordination mechanisms, and health financing. In addition, the consultant will prepare a concise analytical proposition that links climate shocks with adolescent health and mental health in Uzbekistan, outlining their relevance and identifying entry points for future donor investment.

National Consultant: Construction Officer in Bangladesh
UNICEF is managing a significant construction portfolio in Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar. Currently more than 80 facilities in the camps are under reconstruction/renovation, and the new construction of temporary and semi-permanent structure have been commissioned. In addition, the urgent renovation works in UNICEF office facilities have been started. All these projects are implemented by UNICEF and executed by construction companies. To ensure compliance, timely implementation and quality assurance, and in the absence of UNICEF CXB-based construction engineer, a full-time Construction Engineer consultant is to be engaged for the period of six month implement the project portfolio. The construction engineer will require to manage the overall activities, provide technical support for all associated works, maintain smooth coordination between all the party’s and ensure construction works are being conducted as per the set timeline and standards.
