Much more attention will also be required to reduce the zero-dose children burden in the country.As a key partner of Immunisation and Global Polio Eradication Initiative, UNICEF has the mandate to provide technicalassistance to the country through advocacy, coordination, planning implementation, and monitoring of immunizationprogrammes. The organization relies on highly trained and experienced personnel of staff and consultants to meet thisobligation.Accountable for ensuring the UNICEF Immunisation programme promotes gender equality, with an emphasis on genderdisaggregation, gender disparity identification and gender mainstreaming.
