Successful candidates should have an earned master's or doctoral degree and commitment to student success. Preferred qualifications include successful experience teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing students. As a new program, we seek faculty in a wide-range of specialty areas, including: pathopharmacology, adult medical/surgical, pediatrics, gerontology, obstetrics, behavioral/mental health, community/population nursing, and clinical foundations/reasoning. Clinical expertise, including direct patient care experience, in one or more of the specialty areas is required. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a clear and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California.
