As an Admissions Specialist, you will expertly verify the authenticity of admission documents, manage application processes, and make timely admission decisions. Your role includes handling communications with students, resolving issues, and preparing customized acceptance letters. You will analyze and manage databases, run residency reports, and provide support through various software programs. Additionally, you will oversee non-degree-seeking applications, engage in professional development, lead short-term projects, and compile statistical data for reporting. In registration, you will handle all related functions, act as a liaison to resolve issues, ensure accuracy of manual forms, and train new staff. Your customer service duties will involve supporting students via phone, in person, and email, managing call transfers, scheduling appointments, and maintaining confidentiality. You will also review and update degree services, including changes of majors and graduation applications, and manage campus-specific forms and commencement assistance. Regular updates to the MSC Student Services web pages will be required to ensure accuracy and relevance.

KUAC is hiring a Senior News Reporter/Producer. The position is part-time, benefitted with 20 hours of week producing news for local, regional and statewide newscasts for daily delivery on KUAC FM and posting to the KUAC website. A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, media or related field and three years of professional newsroom experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required. The KUAC News Reporter/Producer must maintain a high level of ethical, editorial, artistic and technical standards for broadcast and website news content. Must be able to work with news staff to develop story ideas, track issues and events and be able to meet deadlines and additionally work closely with other news producers/reporters.

The University of Alaska (UAA) Aviation Technology Division invites applications for an aviation maintenance position for the Aviation Technology Flight School. As a mechanic in the Aviation Technology Division you will be responsible for performing the duties of an FAA-certificated Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic with Inspection Authorization conducting required maintenance & preventative maintenance of UAA Flight Training Aircraft including 50-hour inspections, 100-hour inspections, annual, and phase inspections. This position is responsible for debriefing pilots concerning any aircraft malfunction. Running and taxiing aircraft under power, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft. Additionally, you will perform the full range of repair and testing of aircraft systems, assemblies and surfaces, determining if aircraft components require repair, replacement or re-calibration, and requesting parts and conducting repairs as required.
