Offering economic development related research and technical assistance, high-level professional education, small business development services, and youth entrepreneurship programming, the work of the BEI not only links UA economic development programs, but also supports business and entrepreneurial capacities across Alaska.

The faculty member appointed to this position will provide advising to prospective and current medical laboratory science students, didactic and laboratory education to students enrolled in the medical laboratory science programs. The program faculty member will be responsible for continued curriculum development, and academic expansion of the program.
