To be the initial point of service for all first-year students in assisting and guiding their adjustment to university life. Will work with the Associate Dean and other colleagues to initiate the development of CORE-1001, SKIL1104, and SKIL-1106 curriculum for the fall and spring semesters. Will advise students course registration throughout the first year with ongoing monitoring of academic progress throughout the first year. The "first-year" is defined as the successful completion of 30 credits.

This position provides essential customer service and staffing at the Walsh Library circulation desk and critical operations support within the Access Services unit during weekend hours, performing routine library functions (check out; check in; catalog search; account review, etc.) and clerical duties related to the circulation, retrieval, and organization of library materials using various computer systems. Assists in processing interlibrary loan and resource sharing requests for SHU Library patrons and partner libraries borrowing materials from SHU. Provides guidance and direction to library student workers. Monitors and reports building and maintenance issues. This position is designated as an essential employee and will be expected to staff the library during inclement weather conditions.

Mock Trial Director in Newark
Seton Hall Law School is hiring a part-time Director of the Mock Trial Program for the 2025-26 academic year. The Mock Trial Program, founded in 2008, enables Seton Hall Law students to hone their trial skills by putting them into practice competitively. Students learn how to conduct a trial from opening statements to direct and cross-examination to closing arguments, in preparation for their participation in national interscholastic mock trial competitions. Seton Hall Law students typically participate in 4-6 national mock trial competitions per year. This is a part-time position that requires approximately 6-8 hours per week during each 13-week semester, with some additional time during the winter and summer to administer the program. The Director receives an annual stipend of $12,500 for this work. The Interscholastic Mock Trial Board is a group of 20-30 upper division students who compete in national mock trial competitions, both online and in person.
