The Community Liaison & Operations Coordinator serves as the Institute's lead administrative professional responsible for coordinating daily operations, advancing strategic initiatives, supporting community engagement, and facilitating the successful execution of Institute priorities. Working under the general direction of the Executive Director, the incumbent exercises independent judgment in managing Institute operations, developing operational recommendations, coordinating cross-functional projects, administering budgets, cultivating community partnerships, and representing the Institute with internal and external stakeholders. The Director of Development is responsible for creating a climate conducive for giving by developing and securing gifts (outright and pledged) of $25,000+ for assigned schools and colleges, special programs and projects, new initiatives, and campaigns. This includes identifying prospects to determine their potential as donors through strategic cultivation and well-tried solicitations in the tri-state area and other related regions as assigned. Closing and stewarding gifts for assigned prospects is also critical to the role. The Public Safety officer’s primary purpose is to protect life and property. This is accomplished through a variety of tasks including: preventive patrol, reporting suspicious persons/activities, reporting unsafe conditions, providing transportation to students and the enforcement of University’s rules and regulations. Responsibilities include virtual and face-to-face solicitations, supplemented by phone calls, emails, and written communications. The primary audiences are alumni and families, especially those in reunion class years. The role involves high-volume, personalized outreach to maximize donor engagement and requires some travel and event attendance. The Associate Director qualifies, engages, and acquires new donors, encourages current donors to renew and increase their giving, and assesses future major gift capacity. The position supports annual gift efforts across direct mail, social media, crowdfunding, and digital marketing to grow Seton Hall’s donor base, retention rate, and funds raised.
