About the Position This position will provide a high level of skilled administrative support to the Design Department within the College of Fine and Performing Arts. Under general direction, this position will oversee the operation and management of the department; manage the financial and budgetary aspects of the department; monitor and implement curricular administration; supervise staff and student workers; support faculty with a variety of administrative services; and foster positive intra- and interdepartmental communication with the goal of excellent administrative efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree PLUS at least two years of related full-time administrative office management AND one year of supervisory experience. Additional administrative office management experience may substitute, year for year, for educational requirements.
  • Proficiency with Banner or similar relational database system using data entry and extraction.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and web browsers (e.g., Explorer, Firefox, Chrome).
  • Experience monitoring, reconciling, projecting, and auditing multiple budgets and expense activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize, and multitask while managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Millennium.
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with design and/or art in an education setting.

Salary $4,385 - $5,898/month depending on qualifications and experience
