Event Services Manager in Bellingham, WA
The Viking Union at Western Washington University is searching for a highly qualified candidate to join our team! The Viking Union Event Services Manager works closely with students, faculty and staff in the planning and implementation of a wide variety of events at our student union and other venues on campus. This position manages Setup and Event staff, Audio Visual Services and Reservation process at the Viking Union with an emphasis on supporting student activities, clubs, and community building events. These events include large- and small-scale concerts, banquets, receptions, information fairs and conferences. The position supervises a team of two full-time staff and around forty part-time student employees in production of around 500 special event bookings each year at the Viking Union and across Campus.

Assistant Professor of Musicology in Bellingham, WA
The Department of Music at Western Washington University seeks a dynamic, student-centered artist/scholar to serve as Assistant Professor of Musicology. This is a full-time, tenure-track position, anticipated to begin on September 16, 2026. Duties will include teaching graduate and undergraduate academic courses in musicology—including survey courses for non-majors—as well as committee service and substantive research and/or creative activity. The ideal candidate will be experienced in fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment, and will be proactive in seeking collaborative opportunities with peers. They will nurture and sustain the Musicology program in its various facets, including pedagogy and curriculum, thesis advising, curating guest artists and presenters, and scholarship.
