About the role
Take on an exciting opportunity as Group Digital Merchandising Manager within our eCommerce team, where you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering the digital merchandising strategy for Halfords.com and Halfords.ie. You’ll be responsible for ensuring best-in-class online product and service journeys that drive conversion, enhance customer satisfaction, and support our commercial objectives.
Working with a skilled team of Digital Merchandisers across categories including Car Parts and Extended Range, you’ll help deliver a seamless, optimised experience from discovery to purchase. With a focus on improving conversion rates and Digital NPS, you’ll collaborate closely with teams across Digital & Customer, Trading, Store Operations, and Marketing to bring engaging, customer-centric merchandising to life.
Key responsibilities
- Shape and implement the Merchandising & Content strategy in collaboration with Digital Trading and CRO teams, driving conversion and average order value through effective product attach and trade-up tactics.
- Lead the delivery of online range reviews and new range content plans, ensuring customer journeys are optimised and campaign content is executed with precision and impact.
- Drive innovation by identifying new tools, technologies, and enhancements to improve merchandising effectiveness and user experience across all devices.
- Manage and develop a team of Digital Merchandisers, creating a collaborative, customer-focused culture that encourages creativity, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Own the delivery of merchandising plans and promotional content, ensuring alignment with the wider trading calendar and commercial objectives.
- Build strong relationships with third-party platforms like Salesforce and key suppliers to maximise tool capabilities and ensure all external services deliver real value.
- Use customer insights, data analytics, and performance metrics to make smart, balanced decisions that improve conversion, sales, and customer satisfaction.
- Champion best practice by maintaining clear process flows and toolkits, promoting team achievements across the wider business, and ensuring a culture of knowledge sharing and due diligence.
