The Social Work & Sociology department in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a MSW Practicum Education Coordinator and Lecturer of Social Work for our new fully online MSW program starting in June, 2025. Marist has been granted permission by NYSED and CSWE to develop a fully online MSW program that will have a traditional 2-year stand-alone program as well as a 1-year advanced standing program. We are seeking a MSW Practicum Education Coordinator and Lecturer of Social Work who will join us in the summer of 2025 as we open our doors to the first cohort of students. This position will be responsible for securing all field practicum experiences, monitoring students’ experiences, supervising practicum liaisons, and teaching.

Professional Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Medical Laboratory Science in Poughkeepsie, NY
The School of Science at Marist is pleased to invite applications for a full-time faculty position in our accelerated Medical Laboratory Science program starting Fall 2025. This position is tenure-track or a lecturer position, depending on the qualifications of the successful candidate. The primary location for this position will be in our New York City location in Manhattan. The Medical Technology Department’s academic mission is immeasurably enriched by an inclusive community in which diverse perspectives are respected and valued. Thus, candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Applicants with expertise in Blood Banking or Clinical Microbiology are encouraged to apply. Additional preference will be given to those with undergraduate teaching experience and/or undergraduate teaching of Hematology or Clinical Chemistry and/or a doctorate in a related field. Responsibilities of this position include teaching both lecture and laboratory sections at either the Marist Poughkeepsie or Manhattan locations, overseeing clinical rotations in Manhattan, and university service. The successful candidate will join a well-established (30+ years) program that is NAACLS accredited (most recently in 2019) and focused on providing an excellent education for students seeking careers in the medical laboratory sciences. They will also work closely with students, clinical affiliate faculty, and on-campus faculty, staff and administrators. Prior teaching experience is desirable; however, candidates with promise and enthusiasm for becoming a skilled teacher are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Marist University Teacher Education Department seeks candidates for the Program Director and Professional Lecturer of Teacher Education to begin in the fall 2025. This position provides coordination for the advanced certification Master of Science in Education (MSED) in Contemporary Curriculum & Instruction Program. This program is offered in two delivery models: as part of our in-house 5-year accelerated program, or in an online asynchronous 16-month program. This is a full-time position with a 24-credit teaching load; 12 credit release for administrative responsibilities. We are excited to announce the opening this fall (2024) of the fully renovated Dyson building which houses our state-of-the-art Teaching Methods Lab with adjoining Maker Space and separate Curriculum Resource room.
