Community Campus Materials Manager in Syracuse
The Community Campus Materials Manager will be responsible for management of CH Materials Management 24/7 operations including General Stores, Receiving, Equipment Services and Mail Room. Duties include staff scheduling, recruitment, training, performance reviews and personnel issues. Will provide weekend management coverage as needed. Performs quality monitoring in support of departmental metrics and ensures that shifts are proceeding in a spirit of continuous improvement. Conducts daily walk through of unit supply/equipment locations to ensure they are properly stocked, and organized. Ensures Critical Stations is kept up, and all carts and kits are complete and ready for issue. Monitors staff interaction with nursing staff to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Supervises the maintenance of the distribution pick area, ensuring it is well stocked, and well organized.

Ergonomist/ Environmental Health & Safety Specialist in Syracuse
The Ergonomist/ Environmental Health and Safety Specialist is primarily responsible for oversight of ergonomic-related activities. Duties include, but are not limited to development and implementation of the Upstate ergonomics program, providing direct support to the healthcare safe patient handling program, participation in the hazardous materials and waste program, performing occupational, environmental and fire safety risk assessments and inspections, developing and performing safety training and supporting the overall environmental health and safety programs at Upstate. The Ergonomist/Environmental Health and Safety Officer will also investigate and respond to health and safety concerns and coordinate corrective actions, perform safety inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and assess for hazardous conditions, and recommend remedial action as necessary. In addition, the Ergonomist/Environmental Health and Safety Officer will prepare required regulatory and compliance reports related to internal and external audits (DNV, PESH, NYSDEC, etc.), develop and implement environmental health and safety awareness program, participate on committees to proactively promote safety, review and revise policies, procedures and safety manual, and perform other duties as assigned.
