      The Endoscopy Department at Upstate Medical Center has 2 campuses, offering patients both diagnostic and emergent gastroenterology and pulmonary endoscopic procedures. The Endoscopy Department at Upstate supports various programs across both campuses, including the GI Motility and Pulmonary programs, as well as Fecal Transplants. Our specialists provide some of the most comprehensive and cutting-edge endoscopic services as well as advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Both campuses also offer a complete range of sedation and anesthesiology services as needed. The downtown campus Endoscopy Department is a busy advanced endoscopy unit located on the 3rd floor. The unit itself is currently a 4 bed capacity unit, with discussions underway to increase to an 8 bed unit. Endoscopy Procedures also take place throughout the hospital including the ICU’s, ERs, and both Adult and Pediatric Surgery Centers. The Department opens at 7am with an oncall team available for any procedure after 5:30 pm weekdays and 24/7 weekends & holiday as well. The Community campus Endoscopy Department is a rapidly growing endoscopy unit. In addition to the majority of procedures performed in the OR, procedures are also performed throughout the hospital including the ICU, and ER. The Department opens at 0730 weekdays, with the Oncall team available for any procedure after 4pm weekdays, and 24/7 weekends and holidays.
