Liberal Studies Program - Part-time Lecturer Pool in San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Liberal Studies Program at California State University San Bernardino is accepting applications on an on-going basis for our pool of part-time lecturers for upper and lower division Liberal Studies courses that address introduction, resources, portfolio development, and assessment of students preparing to pursue the multiple subjects teaching credential. The Liberal Studies program is housed under the College of Arts and Letters and offers a rich Liberal Arts & Liberal Studies educational experience through selected courses from a wide range of academic disciplines. The major consists of a common core and a choice of several tracks designed to meet diverse student interests and needs not only for teaching in schools, but also for leadership in government, non-profit organizations, and business, and for graduate education in law, counseling, social work and services, public affairs and administration, and educational leadership. Associate Director for Outreach, Recruitment and Retention in Long Beach
The Associate Director of Outreach, Recruitment and Retention will work under the general direction of the Associate Dean for Academic Programs to manage, implement, and assess all the operations of the Outreach and Recruitment Office and of all the MESA programs in the college. The incumbent will also be responsible for exploring opportunities and participating in the development of grant proposals to support recruitment and retention of students in engineering. The selected individual will collaborate with faculty and staff in the Engineering Student Success Center to organize and host outreach and recruitment events. Finally, the incumbent will collaborate with the Learning Communities Coordinator on the recruitment in, and implementation and administration of existing and new retention programs in the college, and with the Recruitment and Outreach Specialist on outreach and fundraising activities to increase the recruitment of high school and community college students in engineering programs at CSULB.
