Facilities Project Supervisor in Long Beach
Under the general supervision of the Facility Project Services Manager, the Facility Project Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising one or more small groups or crews comprised of semi-skilled and skilled journey-level crafts workers from more than one trade. Supervise work on new construction and remodels that includes collaborating with engineering and design departments; interpreting complicated plans and drawings; coordinating work schedules and work assignments to meet the overall construction/modification objectives; sequencing of work; ensuring the availability of required materials and equipment; analyzing operations; coordinating with other leads and supervisors in scheduling specific trade workers and sequencing of work on projects; preparing cost and time estimates; ensuring accuracy and currency of computerized record-keeping and/or maintenance management systems; and providing a high level of inspection to ensure appropriate building and safety codes are met. May also design minor tenant improvements.

***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY*** SSP IB: Working independently under general supervision of Director and the Credential Analyst II the Credential Advisor is responsible for providing various levels of information, advising, and assistance to past, prospective and admitted credential candidates: facilitates student registration and enrollment; monitors and maintains up-to-date credential information in preparation for credential recommendation, including database management; collaborates with others University on campus and school district personnel to facilitate regarding the credentialing requirements. Compiles and analyzes information, prepares reports as needed, and conducts outreach activities. Using judgment and administrative planning, incumbent provides and participates in the implementation of creative solutions associated with the operation of programs both within the department, other campus departments and in the community. Incumbent assists with the coordination of candidate advisement with the general operations and processes of all credential pathways, in coordination with SOE program faculty, staff, and the Credential Analyst's Office. Under the lead of the Credential Analyst II, verifies academic qualifications for preliminary credentials. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, great attention to detail, prompt professional response and follow-up as well as the ability to exercise discretion and tact in all forms of communication.
