    Lecturer - CHEM 533: Polymer Chemistry (Fall 2026) in San Marcos

    The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to lecture CHEM 533: Polymer Chemistry. This course Introduces the basics of polymer synthesis. Traditional polymerization techniques, such as free-radical, anionic chain, and step-growth polymerization, as well as newer methods of polymer synthesis will be discussed. Preparation of advanced block, star and brush copolymers, semi-conducting and biodegradable polymers, and the fundamentals of structure and physical properties of polymers, and methods of characterization will also be covered.

    The Department of Computer Science at California State University San Marcos (Temecula Campus) seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach CS 310: Social Issues and Professional Practices in Computing. Examines the larger societal context of computing to develop an understanding of the relevant social, ethical, legal and professional issues. Covers social context, professional ethics, intellectual property, privacy, professional communication, safety, reliability, and sustainability. Exposes students to different areas within computer science while developing technology solutions to undesirable effects of computing technology and the internet.
