This position provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Academic Records Services within the Registrar's Office and serves as a key support to the University Registrar. The position manages the Registration and Records unit, including records services, imaging services for historical records, customer service, registration systems and services, National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) and NSLDS reporting, grading processes, transcript services, and enrollment verification services. The position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, security, and efficiency of student records processes and systems while maintaining a student-centered service model and compliance with institutional, CSU, state, and federal policies. In collaboration with the University Registrar, EMS Student Systems Operations, IT, and other campus partners, the position identifies, evaluates, and implements approved technology, automation, and workflow improvements that enhance service delivery, data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational effectiveness. The position promotes responsible use of technology, including approved AI-enabled tools where appropriate, consistent with institutional data security, privacy, accessibility, and compliance requirements.

The Department of American Indian Studies at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach Lecturer- AIS 130: Environmental Justice, Racism, and Settler Colonialism. The course explores the different articulations of environmental justice (EJ) for American Indian people compared to EJ for other communities. Situating settler colonialism as the origin of environmental injustice, genocide, and land dispossession as its constituent components are viewed as an ongoing process and structure that keeps American Indian and Alaskan Native people locked into struggles against extractive industries and a racist legal system as mechanisms of the capitalist settler state. Highlights Indigenous resistance and resiliency. A master's degree or equivalent in American Indian Studies or related discipline Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California.
