    • Facilities Maintenance Mechanic in Chico

      The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled generalist, independently performing a wide range of skilled journey-level trade work in one trade, such as electro-mechanical, with strong skills in other trades. Under general supervision of the Associate Director of Facility Operations and Projects, University Housing, the Facilities Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of skilled preventive and general maintenance, repair, construction, and renovation of facilities and systems, including, but not limited to HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. Incumbent responds to routine and non-routine maintenance and service requests, operates, tests, installs, diagnoses, repairs, and performs corrective and preventive maintenance to ensure maintenance objectives are met. Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates for labor and materials, ordering materials, fabricating parts, maintaining tools and equipment, maintaining records and retrieving work related data using manual and/or computerized record keeping systems, preparing standard reports, and consulting with other trades workers. The essential functions and responsibilities listed in this position description are typical work activities and the general range of work functions performed by the Facilities Maintenance Mechanics, they are not an all-inclusive or restrictive list of Facilities Maintenance Mechanic-related work. University Housing maintains, operates, and protects CSU Chico's student housing and related facilities and environs to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning, safe and healthy for the campus community, and attractive for visitors while preserving the physical heritage for future generations.

    • Lead Electrician in Chico

      Electricians perform the full range of journey-level skilled electrical and related work, including installation, maintenance, modification and repair of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems. Responsibilities include installation and maintenance of typical and specialized electrical systems, and electrical support for related trades, such as HVAC and telecommunications, for both new installations and repairs/retrofitting. Electricians provide support services for campus events, such as setup and removal of temporary power, and routine operational duties such as, tracking work orders, preparing cost estimates, maintaining inventory, monitoring and inspecting the work of contractors, preparing reports and ordering supplies. Electricians are required to be on standby for emergency repairs, as scheduled. In addition to performing the duties of an Electrician, the Lead Electrician is responsible for supervising, instructing and working with a small group of Electricians and semi-skilled assistants, ensuring safety procedures are followed , laying-out and coordinating the work flow for jobs, preparing materials lists and ordering supplies for jobs. The Lead Electrician spends the majority of time working as a skilled electrician, with ancillary lead work and project planning responsibilities. As part of the normal duties of this position, the incumbent may perform the work outlined in the Position Descriptions of subordinates, as well as the work described in the CSU Classification Standards for the Electrician series.

      Under general supervision of the Supervising Electrician, performs skilled journey-level electrical work, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and low-voltage systems such as fire and alarm systems. Duties include troubleshooting malfunctions, planning and wiring new or remodeled installations, testing equipment for safety and efficiency, and fabricating parts. The incumbent ensures work complies with codes and specifications, uses a computerized maintenance system, and may guide unskilled or semi-skilled assistants.

Utilizing diagnostic tools and simulation software, this role ensures equipment operability, assists faculty and students, and contributes to laboratory setups, fostering an efficient and educational lab environment within the engineering college.

    • Parent Educator/ The Parenting Center ICDFR (UEC) in San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus

      Provide parent education courses for parents/caregivers in an in person group format or online. Duties include facilitating 9-session parenting courses. Parent educators may also be asked to do “onetime” presentations on various parenting topics in the local area. Parent educators will also be expected to complete necessary paperwork and facilitate after-class debriefing sessions with children’s program staff as needed. Parent educators must follow a fully developed parent education model (and will be trained to use this model before leading groups).

    • Accessible Technology Initiative Coordinator / Application Support Administrator in East Bay

      Under the general supervision of the Sr. Dir., ITS/Application Support/Online Campus, The Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) Coordinator / Application Support Administrator is the lead position at CAUEB that coordinates logistic, reporting, remediating, and documentation efforts related to compliance with the CSU systemwide ATI guidelines and Title II compliance. The position is pivotal to ensuring that the campus’s established ATI business processes maintain continuity to improve access for all in compliance with state and federal laws. In addition, the ATI coordinator/ Application Support Administrator ensures that all CSU ATI reporting mandates and guidelines are met and documented, including annual reporting and campus planning, and ensures continuity of the ATI Steering Committee and Subcommittee meeting in the areas including but not limited to web, instructional materials, and procurement. Project management, including prioritization, and adherence to the Success Indicators on the ATI annual report across those priorities. The ATI Coordinator, in conjunction with the ATI Steering Committee members will launch ATI, develop new business practices and workflow processes and produce to address existing/low statuses and monitor progress on previously upgraded status indicators to maintain the assigned status level. The ATI coordinator is the lead in all aspects of campus ATI/Title II Compliance. The ATI Coordinator / Application Support Administrator also provides application and systems administration, project leadership, documentation and training, user support, and production support for projects/applications assigned by Sr. Dir; ITS Application Support/Online Campus. While providing primary support for some applications, the ATI Coordinator / Application Support Administrator is expected to have a high-level technical understanding of other supported applications.
