Working with broad autonomy and a spirit of global adventure, the Study Abroad and Exchange Program Coordinator is the driving force behind the day-to-day operations of Chico State’s Study Abroad and Exchange (SAE) Programs within International Education & Global Engagement (IEGE). This role tackles the most challenging and complex aspects of Student Services—diving deep into multifaceted individual, group, and organizational issues and navigating them from investigation and analysis all the way through solution design and implementation. The Coordinator serves as a strategic advisor to campus leadership and faculty, frequently stepping in as the voice and champion of Chico State’s global learning opportunities. They orchestrate the full spectrum of study abroad, international exchange, and National Student Exchange (NSE) activities, ensuring seamless and transformative experiences for students. Leading a dedicated team of two SSP staff, along with student employees and interns, the Coordinator energizes and oversees the full administration of the university’s Study Abroad and Exchange Programs—empowering students to explore the world and bring new perspectives back home.
