      The Department of Health Science and Human Ecology (HSCI) at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Public Health, beginning in the 2026/2027 academic year. This position specifically supports the undergraduate (BSPH) and graduate (MPH) programs in Public Health and help with developing the DrPH program. The successful candidate will teach in both programs and is expected to be familiar with the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation requirements and be willing to work with faculty in a collaborative effort to maintain accreditation. We seek candidates with expertise in Public Health who are enthusiastic about advancing our programs and leading the development of new public health initiatives. We are particularly seeking exceptional scholars whose teaching, research, and service are balanced and demonstrate a strong, integrated commitment to advancing knowledge, education, and community impact.

      The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications from a diverse group of qualified applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2026. Candidates are expected to provide innovative and equity-based teaching in upper division undergraduate inorganic and/or physical chemistry, in addition to introductory and lower division courses and, if applicable, MS Materials Science courses. Candidates are also expected to develop and sustain an externally funded and independent research agenda in an area of inorganic or physical chemistry and/or materials science. Expertise that complements existing departmental research capabilities and has the potential for research collaboration and/or course development is highly desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience.

      Candidates must have knowledge, skills and interest in secondary literacy/English language arts teaching, research, and professional development. Candidates are expected to teach literacy/English Language Arts courses for teacher candidates and graduate students. Candidates are expected to meet the requirements for excellence in teaching, active scholarly and professional work, and service to the University and community. The successful candidate is expected to: Design and teach secondary Reading, literacy/English Language Arts courses at the credential and M.A in Education program that emphasize high impact instructional strategies and current teaching and learning theories in literacy and English language arts. Work with credential and graduate students. Participate in committee assignments at the program, department, college, and university levels. Supervise student teachers. Engage in research/publication and/or creative activities. Advise and mentor credential and graduate students. Participate in student recruitment to the credential and graduate programs. Qualified candidates must demonstrate active involvement and excellence in teaching and mentoring/supervising a diverse population of students, working collaboratively and productively with faculty, staff, and administrators within and across programs, departments, and colleges at the university. Candidates are also expected to be actively engaged with the community (e.g., schools and school districts, county office of education, professional organizations, etc.).
