The Psychology Department in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at California State University, Chico is seeking an Assistant Professor in Psychology to teach in our NASP accredited School Psychology graduate program beginning in August 2027. We are specifically looking for applicants with a completed 3-year Master’s or a completed Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology, or a doctorate degree in psychology, education, or a related field. This position is annually renewable, dependent on funding, need and performance. Student Athlete Mentors provide extra academic support to student-athletes to improve their retention and graduation rates. Mentors report their students’ academic progress, meeting attendance, and other pertinent information to the full-time SARC staff.

Under general direction, the Student Services Professional III performs complex student services work characterized by independent student advising and guidance provided in both individual and group settings. This position oversees the development and implementation of an intentional and accountable residential life programming model that promotes social, recreational, spiritual, and educational learning outcomes. The incumbent directly advises and supports the University Housing student governance council, the Chico State National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) Chapter, and the University Housing Residence Hall Programming Board. In collaboration with University Housing staff, the incumbent provides leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and administration of policies, procedures, and operating principles related to residential life programming, student governance, and residence hall programming initiatives. The incumbent spends a substantial portion of time conducting advising sessions of considerable duration and complexity and is expected to exercise a high degree of judgment, initiative, persuasiveness, creativity, and professional expertise in accomplishing assigned responsibilities and achieving program objectives.
