Recreation Programs Coordinator (Administrative Analyst Exempt I) in East Bay
Under supervision of the Associate Director, Recreation & University Unions (RUU), the Recreation Programs Coordinator provides guidance for Fitness Programs and Intramural Sport (IMS) Programs supporting the Recreation and Wellness (RAW) center and programming for the campus community. The Recreation Programs Coordinator supports general operations for the 2-story Fitness Center, Personal Training programs, and Group Fitness Classes and coordinates intramural sport leagues, tournaments, and workshops. This position coordinates equipment needs and collaborates with RUU Leadership to establish annual budget projections for acquisition, maintenance and repair of equipment and facility needs. This position ensures procedures for minimizing risk and injury to participants while engaging in fitness services and recreation programming. This position provides lead work direction to student fitness center attendants, student personal trainers, student group fitness instructors, Intramural Sports staff and leads the work of non-student casual worker group fitness instructors. This position requires the ability to work closely with students, mentoring leadership skills, providing oversight of day-to-day activities, and guiding them to perform services and outreach to the campus community. The Recreation Programs Coordinator collaborates with RWUU staff to develop annual reports, procedure manuals, and statistics for programs/facility usage, supporting data collection and evaluation of programmatic impact upon graduation and retention efforts.

The course teaches basic statistical methods for analysis of data in psychology; descriptive and inferential statistics; hypothesis testing; parametric tests of significance. Introduction to linear regression and correlation; analysis of variance; nonparametric techniques.
