Student Athlete Mentor I in Sacramento
The Student Athlete Resource Center (SARC) is hiring Student Athlete Mentors. The Student Athlete Mentoring Program is part of the Student Athlete Resource Center’s Academic Support Program. Student Athlete Mentors provide extra academic support to student-athletes to improve their retention and graduation rates. Mentors report their students’ academic progress, meeting attendance, and other pertinent information to the full-time SARC staff. This is a part-time position, with hours variable based on case load.

The Transfer Program Liaison plays a key role by supporting students who began their educational program at a community college or university and successfully preparing these students to transfer to CSUS. This position is also responsible for the evaluation of students’ completion of courses that meet admission, general education and lower division major preparation requirements. The Transfer Program Liaison communicates with students the basis for recommendations, admission decisions and actions, and assists in the planning and organizing of transfer admission related processes.

Under the general direction of the Disability Access Center (DAC) Associate Director, the Auxiliary Services Coordinator - Assistive Technology position serves as the DAC Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assistive technology, providing direct assessment, approval, and training on university hosted assistive technologies to qualified students with disabilities. This position also serves as the university SME related to the DAC’s case management software, providing direct support to disabled students, as well as the faculty and staff who support and serve them. Work includes project management related to maintaining and/or updating assistive technology, analyzing and researching software applications, and developing/implementing proactive solutions to ensure students have access necessary to effectively participate in their academics.
