Administrative Coordinator in Morningside
Columbia University recently combined its Title IX, Gender Based Misconduct, Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action (EOAA), and Office of the Protection of Minors teams into one centralized office. This new office will focus on advancing the University’s efforts in all of these areas. To assist in meeting this objective we are seeking an Administrative Coordinator to act as the Office’s gatekeeper and field a variety of high-priority and confidential inquiries and requests. The incumbent will work independently and will be required to use sound judgment when handling sensitive information. They will also engage in frequent interactions with diverse groups of employees, students, and faculty. The Administrative Coordinator will triage calls and correspondence directed to the office as well as the Vice Provost for Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action. This individual will enhance our office's reputation by building friendly, trusting relationships with all constituents. The Administrative Coordinator reports to the Vice Provost for Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action, who is responsible for the oversight of this new office.

Senior Director, Career Advancement in Morningside
The Career Advancement Center (CAC), in partnership with the greater SIPA community, provides students and alumni with the tools, connections and preparation to advance their careers. CAC serves as a hub, placing students and alumni at the center of a network of resources, including staff, faculty, peers, alumni and employers. Reporting to the Executive Director of Career Services, the incumbent provides leadership, vision and strategic planning in developing programs and services to assist SIPA students and alumni in achieving their career and educational goals and aspirations. Assumes major role in decision making and policy formulation for the Career Advancement Center. The Director of Human Resources (HR) serves as the human resources officer for the administrative staff of the Arts and Sciences at Columbia University. The Arts and Sciences is home to more than 60 research centers and institutes and 28 academic departments. Under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Finance and Human Resources, the Director will assess and implement talent management strategies that proactively address improvement opportunities needed to achieve the department’s mission and vision, and its people strategy. The Director provides customer-centered human resources expertise, leadership, and tactical support to department managers. They will serve as a key resource to the Arts and Sciences leadership team, helping to drive proactive and impactful people solutions that align with the overall goals and organizational priorities of Arts and Sciences.

Department Administrator/COO in Medical Center
Dually reporting to the Chair of the Department of Medicine and the Vice Dean for Administration, the Department Administrator/Chief Operating Officer (DA/COO) provides strong leadership in managing the financial, administrative, clinical operations, and research administration to support the department's clinical, educational, and research programs. The DA/COO will need to possess significant strategic and administrative experience in a complex, academic practice plan environment, an in-depth knowledge of the business of medicine and financial management skills, and familiarity with sponsored research. This individual must be able to identify business opportunities, develop relationships with other hospital practices and clinics in the region, support sound decisions in the development and allocation of space, streamline operational processes to gain greater efficiencies, and in a spirit of openness and shared vision, work with administration and other departments to strengthen the overarching missions.
