Assistant Men's and Women's Nordic Ski Coach in Lewiston, ME
The Assistant Coach is responsible for aiding the Head Nordic Ski Coach in administering a competitive NCAA Division III intercollegiate program. This position supports the development of student-athletes through mentorship, guidance, leadership opportunities, community building, and a commitment to social justice. The Assistant Coach focuses primarily in the areas of planning and directing recruitment, training, conditioning and performance of student-athletes, along with fiscal management of the program. This is a professional assistant coaching position, and all of the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of affiliated national, regional, and state intercollegiate athletic associations, the NCAA, the NESCAC Conference, and the College. Assistant coaches work in partnership with the Office of Admission in order to recruit, admit, and enroll an academically and athletically talented and diverse class of students. The position will assist with various recruitment projects assigned according to previous experiences and program needs. The Assistant Coach will have significant night and weekend commitments. This position reports to the Head Coach.

The Research Technician provides technical support for ongoing grant-funded research in the Neuroscience laboratory. This hands-on position provides direct support for research projects in the laboratory that relate to retinal ganglion cell development and regeneration. This position is responsible for the preparation of laboratory stocks and reagents, husbandry of a colony of transgenic mouse lines, and maintaining a record of all work in an accessible laboratory notebook. The position requires attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills, as well as experience in or willingness to learn molecular biological laboratory techniques. The position is responsible for working with the laboratory head and with research and/or thesis students who are also employed by the laboratory, and for training new students in lab methods.

This senior leadership position with the Bates Dance Festival (BDF) is one of two full-time year-round positions that directs BDF. The Director of Training Programs provides creative, strategic, organizational and financial oversight of the three BDF Training Programs as well as overseeing part-time and seasonal communications, operations, and administrative staff for all aspects of the Training Programs. Areas of particular emphasis include the selection and contracting of faculty members, recruitment of students, adjudicating student applications, communicating with applicants and their families, and creating and implementing administrative systems. Director of Leadership Giving in Lewiston, ME
The Director of Leadership Giving will manage a giving program that meets fundraising targets in support of the college’s short and long-term strategic priorities. The Director is responsible for this key individual giving program focused on relationship building with alumni, parents, and friends who have the capacity to make gifts at the level of $50,000 to $1,000,000. Annual goals for this program range from $3 million to $7 million in new cash and commitments/pledges. They will manage a team of five front-line officers, each of whom supports a portfolio of approximately 125 prospects. The Director will lead by example, managing a personal portfolio in addition to their management responsibilities. They will be responsible for setting metrics for leadership gift cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, including number of contacts, visits, proposals, and commitments. The Director supervises front-line officers on a regular basis as they progress through their prospect work and towards established leadership giving goals based on strategic philanthropic initiatives. The Director works with LGOs to develop and implement strategic plans aimed at maximizing each individual’s support of the college by working with colleagues in College Advancement, faculty, Purposeful Work, Admission, The Office of Intercultural Education, the Office of the Vice President for Equity and Inclusion, and high-level volunteers in an effort to engage our entire donor base and provide transformative support to our students, faculty, and staff.
