Those who successfully complete their apprenticeship will continue their employment at Bates College as an experienced electrician and will have completed the requirements set by the applicable state board and may sit for the State Journeyman test.

    • Assistant Swim Coach/Aquatics and Pool Operation Manager in Lewiston, ME

      The Assistant Swim Coach is responsible for aiding the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach in the planning and direction of the varsity swim programs. They will oversee the recruitment of prospective student-athletes, help plan and run team practices and competitions, help direct the program’s social media accounts, and assist with strength, conditioning, performance and wellness programming for the student-athletes. They will create and assess team training programs, and assist with fiscal program management for Bates College’s NCAA Division III intercollegiate men’s and women’s swimming and diving program. Aquatics and pool operations duties include managing the programming for and running of the pool. This is a professional coaching position and all of the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of affiliated national, regional, and state intercollegiate athletic associations, the NCAA, the NESCAC Conference and Bates College. This position will assist with the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and management of the College’s aquatic facility and programs and will oversee the hiring, training, management and supervision of student employees.

    • Assistant Men's and Women's Squash Coach in Lewiston, ME

      The Assistant Coach is responsible for aiding the Head Coach in administering a competitive NCAA Division III intercollegiate program.  This position supports the development of student-athletes through mentorship, guidance, leadership opportunities, community building, and a commitment to social justice.  The Assistant Coach focuses primarily in the areas of planning and directing recruitment, conditioning, training, and performance of student-athletes, along with fiscal management of the program.  This is a professional assistant coaching position, and all of the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of affiliated national, regional, and state intercollegiate athletic associations, the NESCAC Conference, and the College.  The Assistant Coach will have significant night and weekend commitments.  This position reports to the Head Coach. This is a full time, full year position that averages 40 hours per week. Exact schedule will vary based on the time of year. "In" season is from September - March.
