THE ROLE

Reporting to the People and Culture Lead, the successful applicant will provide generalist HR advice and support to a range of stakeholders across our multidisciplinary ASX listed organisation, including but not limited to:

  • Ensuring HR practices are aligned with the unique requirements of sectors such as defence, mining, infrastructure, marine, construction, and energy
  • Building strong, practical partnerships with operational leaders to support successful project delivery
  • Providing coaching and advice  on employee relation matters including performance, discipline and terminations
  • Interpreting relevant industrial instruments, including the Duratec Enterprise Agreement, relevant industry awards, Fair Work Act and NES
  • Supporting stakeholders in the delivery of people-related calendar activity, including performance reviews, remuneration reviews and engagement surveys
  • Supporting transactional processes and liaise with payroll and other corporate services
  • Liaising with migration agent and coordinating employee visa / sponsorship nominations
  • Supporting the implementation of HR initiatives and projects, as required

What you'll need to succeed

The successful applicant will be passionate about driving exceptional employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle, and will possess the following:  

  • Experience in a P&C Advisor role within the construction, engineering or mining sector (or similar industry)
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, industrial regulation, awards and EBA’s
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, clear communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
