OPS Lab Manager for the Archaeology Institute in Pensacola - Main Campus
The Archaeology Institute at the University of West Florida (UWF) is seeking a qualified archaeology laboratory manager. This OPS, 40-hour a week position has a flexible start date, although ideally within a few weeks of the official date of hire. The lab manager oversees tasks related to archaeological materials, including initial processing, analysis, and curation of collections, in conjunction with faculty and staff, collection management, and students. They will maintain quality control, provide staff and student oversight, coordinate volunteer opportunities, and contribute to laboratory documents and reports of investigation. They will oversee and/or conduct cataloguing and specialized artifact analyses. The lab manager will direct and perform lab activities in several spaces on campus and will maintain clean and safe laboratories at all times.

UWF Explore Camps is an academic-based summer camp program offering a variety of summer camp themes each week from Explore Hogwarts to LEGO Robotics. Summer camp assistants work with lead instructors to deliver hands-on, fun experiences to youth aged 5-17. Working with Explore Camps provides camp assistants with a unique and meaningful summer job experience including: • Fantastic job experience for college students majoring in education, art, social sciences, marine biology, engineering, and many more • Improving your leadership, communication, and time management skills • Being a part of the campers’ fun learning moments Job Duties: 1. Work in a classroom with a lead instructor to support the instructor in leading the camp theme each week. This can include preparing and cleaning up materials, assisting with classroom management and supervision, and actively interacting with campers to assist them with activities. 2. Work with others to lead and supervise group activities during free time and extended care. This can include leading indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, and participating in or leading group activities. 3. Ensure inclusion of all campers in daily activities. 4. Create a fun and inviting space for all campers. 5. Establish a positive relationship with other staff, parents, and participants. Provide parents, instructors, or camp leadership with feedback on campers as needed. 6. Provide positive leadership and be a role model. 7. Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by being aware of participant locations at all times, sharing and enforcing appropriate safety regulations and procedures, and identifying and responding to camper behavior issues. 8. Assist in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports and daily attendance.

OPS Staff Information Aide - Historic Pensacola - Pool Posting in Downtown Pensacola
The department is building an applicant pool for Information Aide and Lead Information Aide. Applications will be accepted on an on-going basis. Position interacts with the public on a daily basis and exhibits excellent customer service. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: conducting public and school tours on a daily basis, dressing in historical clothing and participating in the living history program, working at visitor service desks, opening and closing of facilities as needed, and light cleaning. Outdoor physical labor in inclement weather is required for living history positions. Position is responsible at visitor service desks for answering visitor questions, running a register, selling merchandise, admissions tickets, and memberships. Position is 6-24 hours per week. Shifts are 9:30-4:15 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and 12:00-4:15 on Sunday. Additional hours may be available. Lead Information Aide: responsible for opening and closing the buildings and assisting staff with daily operations.
