The Assistant Director supports the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and the Director of Enrollment Systems and Operations in planning and coordinating admissions functions, with a primary focus on overseeing freshman and non-degree application processing and operations. Additionally, the Assistant Director serves as a Banner security expert and ITS liaison for the department. This role includes supervising and training full-time, part-time, and student staff who directly support admissions operations, particularly in freshman and non-degree application processing. The Assistant Director is responsible for managing department-wide Banner security, administration, and staff training in accordance with university policies and procedures. They oversee the coordination and submission of Florida Board of Governors admissions reports, either by term or as requested. The Assistant Director works closely with Undergraduate Admissions leadership to interpret, implement, and educate staff on admissions policies and procedures, as well as relevant state and federal regulations. This position also requires meticulous documentation of all processes and procedures. The Assistant Director oversees applicant residency reviews and contributes expertise in developing and interpreting university admissions policies and state legislation related to their area of supervision. They evaluate and innovate new business processes to improve efficiencies and support department goals. In addition, the Assistant Director serves as a liaison with the Office of the Registrar to ensure the integrity of student records and regularly collaborates with the Assistant Director of Transfer Processing and the Assistant Director of the Slate CRM. In collaboration with the leadership team, they ensure university enrollment goals and objectives are met, and that deadlines are effectively planned and adhered to.

The Associate Dean serves as the chief conduct officer and is responsible for the overall administration of the student disciplinary system, overseeing behavioral and academic misconduct procedures and cases. Additionally, the Associate Dean provides overall supervision and direction to the staff in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities. This individual serves on the leadership team of the Dean of Students Office and as such will serve the university in various capacities related to students. This individual will need to be committed to a non-adversarial, educational, and learning-based conduct philosophy and ensure that all educational programs, sanctions and hearings reinforce the overall concept of student development. Responsible for managing heavy caseload of approximately 300 or more cases per year.
