You will be trusted to:
- Operate and monitor chillers, pumps, compressors, emergency generators, and other stationary equipment to maintain efficient performance.
- Performs repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure efficient functionality and longevity of MEP systems.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities, including equipment specifications, service reports, and work orders.
- Perform and document critical system testing on emergency generators, UPS systems, and supplemental HVAC systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical, electrical, & plumbing systems.
- Inspect buildings, garages, and grounds for damage, debris, lights out, etc.
- Read and evaluate blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Ensure that all MEP systems adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards, taking vital actions to resolve any non-compliance issues.
- Schedule and oversee the work of outside vendors and contractors.
- Perform maintenance on irrigation systems, grounds, and water features.
- Order parts/materials as needed for repairs and shop inventory.
- Operate skid steer, forklift, or mechanical lift as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or power outages, and take appropriate action to minimize disruption and damage.
- Assist with carpentry, drywall repair, and painting as needed.
- Assist with furniture installation and repair as needed.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior technicians and maintenance staff, facilitating knowledge transfer and skill development within the team.
- Adhere to all safety codes, regulations and best practices including OSHA, NEC, NFPA, SMACNA, ASHRAE and the EPA.
- Maintain knowledge on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in MEP systems maintenance and troubleshooting to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

You qualify with:
- Zero or more years of experience in building, grounds maintenance, or other relevant experience. - Driver's license
You are a great fit with:
- BOMA certification.
- Experience as a Stationary Engineer or Building Maintenance Tech with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, & plumbing systems.
- Critical Equipment/Data Center experience.
- Strong understanding of carpentry, drywall, and painting techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, safety manuals, codes, and regulations.
- Experience in the use of office productivity applications (email, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).
- Experience in the safe and proper use of common cleaning products, pest control products and other facilities maintenance related products including discernment of colors and warnings.
- Ability to use handheld, manual, and power tools.
