We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our outstanding environmental laboratory team that operates in a high-production facility. The position works closely with Environmental Lab Management, Regulatory Compliance Program Manager, LIMS Applications Administrator, and Analytical Supervisors to ensure customer requirements can be met. Quality limits are detailed in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and analytical operations are aligned to meet customer deliverables. You will be primarily working on independent tasks and performing similar duties every day, and attention to detail is key while keeping the overall vision in focus. This role is an integral part of our laboratory operations. You will be trusted to:

- Review all assigned ELS final data results and associated customer deliverables prior to being released to the customer to ensure they meet the customer project requirements, ELS policies, and any related federal or state requirements, and signs ELS final data reports.
- In conjunction with ELS management, operational supervisors, and account managers, maintain accurate detection limits, control limits, and customer derived maximum contaminant limits in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- In conjunction with the Account Managers, review all assigned customer Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP) to ensure ELS can meet all analytical quality and reporting requirements. Report any inaccuracies or concerns to the respective Account Manager, operational supervisor, ELS Regulatory Compliance Program Manager, and ELS Lab Manager for review.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with the ELS Quality System Manual (QSM) approved methods, National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) requirements, state and federal regulations, and client-specific Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP).

You qualify with:

- A Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology, environmental science, physical sciences, or engineering, plus two or more years of experience in reviewing data results generated by inorganic and organic chemistry and microbiology areas in a commercial laboratory or other relevant experience. A Master’s or Doctoral degree(s) in the above disciplines may each be substituted for one year of experience.

You are a great fit with:

- Four or more years’ experience reviewing data results in a commercial environmental laboratory. A Bachelor’s degree in one of the above related fields with 16 hours or more of college semester credit hours in chemistry.
