We, the High Line Construction group at LCRA, are looking for a High Line Worker to join one of our teams! In this role, you will help in our mission to enhance the lives of Central Texas. Your workplace will be in the phenomenal Texas outdoors, with travel across Central Texas to various work sites (with travel accommodations provided)! This job may require some call-out work to make emergency repairs to the transmission system. This is an entry level position, but applicants with experience can be hired at a higher level and will have commensurate pay.

You will be trusted to:

- Perform routine and standard tasks associated with all aspects of the construction or maintenance and repair of transmission lines (e.g. overhaul and inspection of lines and installing lines).
- Operate and maintain equipment such as bucket trucks, boom trucks, winch trucks, etc. used in performing aerial work.
- Participate in training to gain greater knowledge and experience of procedures, tool use, equipment operation and safety.
- Perform live-line maintenance with hot-sticks on energized transmission lines.
- Prepare equipment and material for daily projects.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Climb wood and steel transmission structures to extreme heights using proper safety equipment.
- Perform work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations (substations, power plants, transmission lines, etc.) as scheduled.

You qualify with:

- Zero or more years of experience in transmission and/or distribution line construction and/or maintenance work or related field involving work at heights, or relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license

You are a great fit with:

- Class A Texas commercial driver’s license
