As a key member, you will be responsible for wastewater, solid waste, stormwater, and air disciplines, serving as the boots-on-the-ground environmental expert. You will be trusted to:
- Serves as the subject matter expert for the following programs and rules: the EPA and TCEQ Air rules, RCRA Industrial Solid Waste Classification and Management, Texas Spill Rules, and TPDES/NPDES wastewater rules at the assigned generation unit. - Conduct and oversee TPDES program sampling activities, air quality assurance stack testing, gas analysis sampling, and other regulatory driven sampling/analysis activities. This includes directing and overseeing work of 3rd party testing groups. In addition, develop requests for proposals for environmental testing/sampling and consulting services. - Prepare various environmental reports with submissions to TCEQ through STORS and EPA through ECMPS and/or CEDRI. Review periodic compliance program manuals, QA/QC manuals and other compliance reports. - Communicate with Generation plant management and participates. - Responsible for maintaining records in accordance with LCRA’s policies and procedures within each regulatory program assigned.
You qualify with:
- Nine or more years of experience in assessment, interpretation, implementation or administration of environmental regulations, programs, policies or other relevant experience, including experience with preparing technical reports and communicating with regulatory agencies. - A degree(s) in environmental science, chemistry, wildlife biology, geology, ecological management, conservation science, business, engineering, risk management or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. - Driver's license
You are a great fit with:
- Bachelor’s degree in an environmental science. - Experience in implementing the federal and Texas air regulations as the rules relate to wastewater management and air quality at fossil fuel-fired power generation facilities. - Experience in boots-on-the-ground support of environmental programs at fossil fuel-fired generation facilities. - Experience in project management of environmental programs.
