We’re hiring two experienced and passionate leaders to drive innovation and impact in farming systems across NSW
- Ongoing | Full-time | 35 hours per week
- Salary: $149,739 – $173,174 p.a. (FTE) + super + leave loading
- Locations: Preferred locations listed below, but negotiable within region
Leader Farming Systems – North | Preferred location: Tamworth or Narrabri
Leader Farming Systems – South | Preferred location: Wagga Wagga or Yanco
About the Roles
As the Leader Farming Systems, you will spearhead the research and development of cropping systems in regional NSW. You'll manage a team of scientists and projects, develop and maintain relationships with key partners, and secure funding for new initiatives. Your work will directly support the region's agricultural industry, ensuring research is effective and aligns with strategic goals, and ensuring a high standard of safety and quality.
There are two roles, the Leader Farming Systems, North located in Northern NSW and Leader Farming Systems, South located in Southern NSW
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will bring:
- Degree or post graduate qualifications in agriculture or science based disciplines
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing research team
- Extensive experience leading complex research and development programs, from inception to completion, on time and within budget
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders and partners
- Expertise in identifying and securing new research and development funding and opportunities
- Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
