About Spatial Team Property Team

The Public Works (PW) Spatial team sits within the Surveying unit and is responsible for providing spatial data services for internal PW projects and external government clients. We play a pivotal role in project planning and delivery with mapping, analysis, application development and management of 2D/3D data for our clients throughout NSW.

About the Role

As a Senior Spatial Officer, you will organise and control the digital workflows relating to the management presentation and sharing of spatial data using modern GIS packages and digital CAD software. This will involve managing internal/external client relationships, preparing fee proposals, liaising with the wider PW Digital Engineering team and controlling the quality of project workflow components.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in geographic information systems or a related field
  • Sound experience and knowledge in a variety of spatial/CAD software applications eg ESRI, Bentley and AutoDesk suites
  • Strong experience using Extract, Transform, Load tools (i.e. FME)
  • Strong experience with ArcGIS Online or ESRI Enterprise GIS and building applications, dashboard and data collection applications
  • A valid NSW Driver's licence and willingness to drive to remote locations to undertake spatial projects, which may include overnight stays.
