- Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour.
- Clerk Grade 9/10 – salary from $129,464 to $142,665 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading
About the Role
This role leads compliance and enforcement activities across multiple industry sectors to ensure adherence to relevant legislation and standards. You will manage complex and sensitive investigations, deliver targeted compliance projects, and provide clear, timely advice to stakeholders. Working closely with compliance teams, you will help implement effective regulatory strategies and produce high quality reports that support informed departmental decision making
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will bring:
- Proven experience conducting high level compliance or enforcement activities, using sound judgment and an evidence-based approach.
- Strong capability to lead or contribute to complex investigations involving sensitive or evolving issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide clear, accurate advice and manage challenging interactions.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical, research and report writing skills, enabling you to deliver high quality recommendations and project outcomes.
Essential criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in a regulatory environment
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout NSW and interstate as required; and work outside normal working hours to achieve outcomes at short notice to deal with a range of issues
