About the role
We are seeking reliable and compassionate Food Services Assistants to join our team at our residential aged care home in Morwell.
You will play a key role in delivering meals and supporting catering services, ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious and enjoyable dining experiences in line with food safety standards.
Salary – $28.67 – $29.78 per hour + 25% casual loading + NFP benefits
Casual role with shifts across a 7-day roster (including weekends)
Key responsibilities
- Delivery of meals across dining areas within a residence.
- Ability to work with other catering staff and assist with the preparation of basic food stuff if required or directed by a supervisor.
- Provide support for function planning and delivery.
- Ensure all catering facilities' food safety program schedule is adhered to.
- Assist customers with service delivery in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Ensuring all staff in the catering department maintain safe food handling practices and compliance.
About you
- Warm, reliable and team-oriented approach
- Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs
- Availability to work across a 7-day roster
- Food Handling and Hygiene Certificate (essential)
- Previous experience in aged care or catering (preferred)
- Knowledge of food safety practices and HACCP compliance
Compliance / Checks required
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Relevant worker screening/clearance as required
- Proof of working rights in Australia
- Willingness to complete a medical assessment
