Job Duties
Duties include but are not limited to preparing detailed court documents in accordance with established guidelines, entering data into an automated case management system, imaging case files, scheduling matters for court, preparing correspondence and legal documents, scheduling interpreters for court cases, assigning court appointed attorneys, providing customer service at the front counter and on the telephone, filing court documents, and attending court sessions. The selected candidate must possess the ability to professionally interact with diverse groups. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume office with tight deadlines. Must be patient, flexible and open to assuming additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. This is an entry level position working in a professional office environment. 2+ years of office experience and customer service experience preferred. Court Experience, or other relevant work in similar settings is a plus. Ideal candidate will have data entry experience and be proficient in Microsoft office suite as well.
Applicants must demonstrate ability to work independently, and as part of a team. Time management skills and a minimum data entry speed of 30 w.p.m. is required as well as computer skills. Preferred applicants will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
