About the role
As the Technical Domain Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational delivery and continuous improvement of IT services across both the TAC and WorkSafe Victoria. You’ll lead the governance of multiple technical domains, manage vendor performance, and drive ITIL-based support processes to ensure platforms are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
The successful applicant will be employed by WorkSafe Victoria.

The IT Shared Solutions (ITSS) area is a collaborative unit delivering integrated IT services to both TAC and WorkSafe Victoria. Our mission is to support the digital transformation of two of Victoria’s most impactful public organisations – each committed to improving lives through road safety, workplace health, and injury recovery. What we’re looking for
Strategic Thinking
You will have the ability to manage complex technical environments and can confidently lead platform operations, capacity planning, and service improvements across diverse technology stacks.
Service Excellence & Governance
You have a strong understanding of ITIL principles and a proven record of ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds SLAs through effective vendor management and proactive risk mitigation.
Extensive experience & technical expertise
Proven experience and expertise in the following areas:
- Microsoft Azure, AWS and Microsoft Office 365 cloud platforms.
- Server products (Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, VMWare).
- Networking including firewalls, routing, Microsoft Express Route, load balancers, wireless, switching and remote access solutions.
- Systems configuration management tools SCCM and Intune.
- Windows operating systems, printers and Papercut print management solution.
- Least privilege principles and privileged access management solutions such as Azure PIM
- Experienced in lifecycle management of assets including those cloud native.
