As our Talent Development and Capability Specialist you will support Suncorp to develop the strategic talent agenda and manage Suncorp’s approach to talent management. The Talent Development & Capability Manager also plays a key role in supporting the development of learning solutions that upskill the workforce for Suncorp’s current and future needs.

 

What you’ll do

  • Develop the strategic talent agenda, determining the approach to buy and build talent in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition, Business Partnering and People Strategy Teams.
  • Own and improve Suncorp’s existing talent management framework and approach to succession planning including the identification, development and mobilisation of high potential talent.
  • Apply a working knowledge of Suncorp’s people strategy, strategic workforce plan, and functional capability priorities to deliver capability solutions that support Suncorp’s needs now and in the future.
  • Manage Suncorp’s strategic capability initiatives including upskilling and reskilling initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver scaled learning programs to upskill in areas such as human and future skills.
  • Manage the design, sourcing and execution of learning solutions to the agreed plan in conjunction with stakeholders, partners and vendors.
  • Build working teams with internal stakeholders, partners and external specialists as a fluid cross-functional team.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organisation Development, Organisational psychology or equivalent (Desired)
  • Significant experience in developing a talent strategy and delivering talent initiatives and  large scale capability initiatives.
  • Experience in the end-to-end project management of strategic initiatives in a large corporate organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking to connect related work and make recommendations aligned to business drivers.
  • Strong collaboration skills including the ability to work with a diverse and dispersed working team, without direct reporting relationships.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments, adapting as new information becomes available to support delivery of results.
