We have a 12-month opportunity for a Capability Development and Simplification Lead to join our Consumer Operations team in Auckland.

As part of this role, you’ll lead the design and delivery of training and upskilling programs, support onboarding and capability development for Sales & Service teams, and drive initiatives to simplify and improve our processes, all while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design and delivery of training programs and resources that support onboarding and continuous capability development for Sales & Service team members.
  • Identify and implement initiatives that simplify business processes and enhance employee and customer experiences.
  • Act as a SME for Service Excellence and other project initiatives
  • Manage portfolios such as the Underwriting Academy, ensuring knowledge and performance targets are met.
  • Lead onboarding and nesting programs for new team members, coordinating hybrid delivery.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge management systems and training resources.
  • Foster strong relationships with team managers, People & Culture, and Insurance Solutions to drive results.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in insurance Sales & Service or front line roles, with demonstrated coaching or training experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training and capability-building programs.
  • Experience with knowledge management
  • Strong knowledge of Suncorp products, systems, and underwriting practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solution-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and resilient in a dynamic environment.
