Senior Risk Specialist Motor

The purpose of this fantastic role is to is to ensure that quality; sustainable and profitable business is established and maintained using technical expertise. The role is focussed on delivering Risk Management Services to Vero Motor Fleet clients in NSW and QLD.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Undertake client focused, risk identification through data analysis, interviews and questionnaires for the purpose of evaluating motor risk exposure.
• The delivery of risk management advice, including but not limited to the top 50 Vero clients based in NSW and QLD.
• Developing and growing the client relationship with brokers and insureds to promote Vero and our Motor fleet proposition. This will involve representing and acting as a company ambassador when working with customers to a senior level (up to CFO, CRO etc).
• Initiate and facilitate opportunities where possible to enhance customer relationships through combining Risk Engineering functions across lines of business.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, seminars and training sessions alongside to assist in educating Brokers and Clients in the Fleet risk management proposition
• Adopt a customer first approach in the promotion and delivery of the Risk Engineering proposition, including RM Consult, Connect, Insight and Advancer
• Strong communication with all stakeholders including underwriters, claims and distribution, including in respect of whole account relationships.
• Support the technical lead through provision of coaching/mentoring of junior team members.

Skills & Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification (Motor, Engineering, Risk Management, Data analysis or a similar field) - desired
• 3 years relevant industry experience in a risk management, engineering or similar field - desired
• Customer facing experience - mandatory
• Analytical skills – ability to analyse data and identify key issues and develop solutions, and drive data-based decisions
• Ability to understand and support need for change and anticipated impact on both the team and self
• Customer relationship management – committed to delivering a quality differentiated risk management experience to all customers.
