The Role
Lead the day-to-day nursing management of activities and education to ensure continuity and quality of Hepatology patient care, in conjunction with other members of the specialised health care team.
Within a multidisciplinary team, provide significant clinical nursing expertise, case coordination, nursing management and education for patients with liver disease and their families within the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Initiate, develop and implement clinical policy, care guidelines, quality improvement and research in accordance with contemporary best practice.
Provide authoritative advice and direction to the other clinicians, including other Clinical Nurse Consultants, Nurse Practitioners and Specialists, pertaining to Hepatology, including emerging trends in treatment.
Develop effective relationships with other service providers across the hospital and within the community to improve services and service access.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 20 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately twelve (12) months.
Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Classification: Registered Nurse, Grade 6
Salary $114,851- $121,886 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.

Relevant post graduate qualifications
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
