The Team:
The ward clerk team provides administrative support and customer focused reception services to hospital wards at the Royal Hobart Hospital and Peacock Centre.
The Role:
This leadership position has a team of approximately 80 staff. The position coordinates and supervises the day to day delivery of clerical administration across hospital wards.
- Develop, establish, and maintain effective communication systems and collaborative relationships with stakeholders within Hospitals South/Department of Health to ensure the provision of timely flow of information and high-quality administrative services is provided by the administration team working across wards.
- Provide input, through operational analysis and recommendations, into administrative process improvements that support the management and integration of services for ward clerks.
- Ensure the continuity and conformity of standards and new administrative support service processes, by monitoring outcomes.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $81,915 - $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
