The Role
- Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
- Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day-to-day patient care activities, including patient flow.
- The staff on 5B believe in a multidisciplinary team approach to health care that places the needs of our patients and their families/carers first through communication and collaboration to facilitate a safe discharge from hospital.
- We provide a supportive environment for learners and place a heavy focus on teamwork to assist in facilitating the needs of our busy surgical ward
- All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 56 hours per fortnight, commencing from 6 July 2025 until 5 July 2026.

Classification:
Salary $106,570 - $112,440 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
