The Role
The ANUM works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework. The ANUM also assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day-to-day patient care activities, including patient flow.
The Department of Medical Imaging (DMI) Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is seeking a motivated and dynamic Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to support the Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) in providing leadership in contemporary nursing practice and promote and drive an environment conducive to innovation and change.
- DMI provides diagnostic and interventional radiology service for the Tasmanian across multiple modalities including ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, PET, fluoroscopy, and angiography. We provide a Monday to Friday service and 24/7 on-call support for emergency interventional procedures.
- DMI is a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a large multidisciplinary team including radiologist, radiographers, sonographers, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, administrative staff, and hospital support officers.

- DMI offers structured training pathways to upskill our team across all modalities, including Angiography.
- Staff are required to wear lead aprons when working in Medical Imaging.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing from 26 August 2025 for a period of approximately twelve (12) months.

Classification: Registered Nurse, Grade 5
Salary $106,570 - $112,440 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

- Holds or is working towards relevant post graduate qualifications
