The Role

Within the application of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, Agency policies, legal requirements and professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - GI Cancer Surveillance ensures the provision of high quality, accountable and measurable healthcare by:

  • Providing clinical leadership and direction to improve the quality and continuity of care and support provided to clients affected by GI Cancers during the post treatment / surveillance phase of care.
  • Working in liaison with Lead Clinicians, the Nurse Unit Manager and other CNC - GI Cancers staff.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of up to twelve (12) months. 

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification: Registered Nurse, Grade 6

Salary $114,851 - $121,886 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Relevant postgraduate qualifications or willingness to complete relevant postgraduate studies within Cancer Nursing and/or surgical

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
