The Role:

  • Provide clinical advice, professional support and direction for Bluegum Health Transformation, considering current political, social and professional environment locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Support Bluegum team members in the analysis of business workflows. Evaluate models of care across health services to inform, develop, integrate and promote clinical systems improvement, and change initiatives across the Department of Health (DoH).
  • Develop and review policies and procedures to influence best practice and clinical innovation within the Bluegum Health Transformation.
  • Liaise, consult and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to lead, facilitate, inform and evaluate clinical redesign and project management.
  • Contribute to high level reporting and documentation for the Bluegum Health Transformation in support of clinical redesign initiatives and projects. This includes governance papers seeking to inform Executive Leadership and obtain approvals.
  • Develop clinical redesign education resources and provide training to staff as required to support the implementation of Bluegum Health Transformation clinical redesign.
  • Work in partnership with senior nursing, medical, pharmacy and allied health staff to deliver a safe, evidence-based, technologically advanced, and well-governed medicines management service.
  • As a Clinical Pharmacist you will be conversant with national standards and clinical terminology, both current and developing.
  • Contribute to Business Analysis and Testing activities.  
  • Intrastate travel will be required to perform the role, engaging with your peers at key Tasmanian Health Service locations.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 29 March 2026.

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification: Allied Health Professional Level 4 

Salary $123,717 - $134,336 per annum + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme 
  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia or completion of an overseas qualification eligible for skill assessment through the Australian Pharmacy Council
  • Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications
  • Current Driver’s Licence
