The Team:

On Ward 2A General Medicine we are a close-knit team.  We are based at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), our state’s largest acute centre, Level 2 A block.

Ward 2A is an Acute Medical ward with a wide variety of patients. It’s an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practice that has people at the centre. Your role will see you provide a valuable service to the Tasmanian community.

The Role

The Clinical Nurse Consultant on 2A provides leadership and guidance to a diverse team who work in an adaptive model of care including Assistants in Nursing, Ward Aides, Enrolled Nurses, Registered Nurses, Associate Nurse Unit Managers and a Clinical Nurse Consultant.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant on 2A also works closely with the multidisciplinary team including but not limited to Medical Staff, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to facilitate the Evidence Based Geographic Model of care.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible for a period up to twelve (12) months.

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification: Grade 6

Salary $118,297 - $125,543 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Holds, or is working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
